Peace seems elusive in this age-in our world. Below, let's look at some encouragement together.
Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) ~ "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
(KJV) ~ "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Colossians 3:13 (NIV) ~ "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And to be thankful."
(KJV) ~ "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."
I am sensing a theme, are you? To find peace, we must be thankful, steadfast in our love for others and God, and trust. I believe that is key. Trust. To do that we must remember the goodness of God. If we acknowledge how good He is, we will realize that trust follows.
The sky also lends a helpful answer to this age old quest for peace. There is nothing more peaceful than a sky bubbling with clouds, bursting in blue and white. But have we ever looked further? When we look to the sky, figuratively, we are looking to heaven-God. To trust and have peace, we must look up and acknowledge God's goodness. His will above our own.
We must trust, we must. And then peace will flow.
